Yeo Jia Min

Yeo Jia Min is a decorated Singaporean badminton player, achieving a World Junior No.1 ranking and securing multiple titles on the BWF World Tour, culminating in her breakthrough Olympic run. After achieving the World Junior No.1 ranking in girls’ singles in June 2017, marking the first time a Singaporean badminton player topped the BWF’s ranking system in either junior or senior categories, Yeo Jia Min went on to secure multiple titles on the BWF World Tour and represent Singapore at the Olympic Games. Her earlier career saw significant junior success, clinching the Under-11 singles title at the 2009 Li-Ning Youth International. Yeo was selected for the national intermediate squad in 2011, progressing to the senior national team three years later in 2014.

The 2023 season saw Yeo triumph at the Polish Open (BWF International Challenge) and contribute to another joint-bronze medal in the women’s team at the SEA Games. Entering 2024, she achieved a semi-final finish at the India Open (BWF World Tour Super 750) and delivered a breakthrough performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, reaching the Round of 16 – a feat not achieved by a Singaporean woman in singles since 2012. Looking ahead, Yeo is poised for further success, having secured the German Open (World Tour Super 300 event) in 2025.
