Mista Silva Nominated for MOBO Award | News | MN2S

New MN2S signing Mista Silva has been nominated for the Best African Artist Award at the 2016 MOBOs.

British-Ghanaian Afrobeats maestro Mista Silva has been nominated for the Best African Artist MOBO Award. The singer and musician is one of ten nominees. He faces competition from Eugy, Kwamz & Flava, Moelogo, Tewa Savage, Tenko Miles, Mr Eazi, Olimande, Yemi Alade, and finally Wizkid, who famously collaborated with MN2S artist Kyla this year on Drake’s hit single ‘One Dance’.

Though this is a crowded field, Mista Silva has a strong chance of winning the category. His past year has been defined by stellar studio releases, including solo work and tracks from his group Tonga Balloon Gang, which features The Streets rapper Mike Skinner. Tonga Balloon Gang’s ‘CCTV’ was a huge hit, gaining support from grime fans and Afrobeats fans alike.

Mista Silva also toured extensively this year with Tonga Balloon Gang, and made featured guest appearances on several other artists’ tracks.

The category is open to public vote at this stage, so follow this link to support Mista Silva with your vote.
