After being selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL draft, Mark Anderson quickly established himself as a formidable defensive end, setting a Chicago Bears rookie record with 12 sacks in his inaugural season. His impactful performance significantly contributed to the team’s postseason run, culminating in an appearance in Super Bowl XLI. Anderson’s outstanding debut was further recognized with his naming to the Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie team in 2006.
