About

Mylah Morales, a Filipina makeup artist, developed an early interest in fashion and glamour while growing up in Los Angeles. At 18, she moved to New York City to start her career. She received formal training from makeup lines such as Make Up For Ever, under creator Dany Sanz, and MAC. Her early career involved working with musicians, where she met Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, which she describes as a significant breakthrough. Morales further developed her skills by learning from leading photographers and directors, focusing on makeup execution for film, music videos, and photoshohoots, emphasizing perfection before the widespread use of digital editing tools like Photoshop.

Morales has built a career based on enhancing natural beauty. Her client roster includes Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, Tracee Ellis Ross, Nicki Minaj, Jordin Sparks, Padma Lakshmi, Leona Lewis, Bebe Rexha, Willow Smith, Storm Reid, Taraji P Henson, and Rihanna. Her work has appeared in publications such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Vogue, GQ, Rolling Stone, Dust, and L’Uomo Vogue. In 2017, she worked as a makeup artist for Rihanna on “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.” More recently, she contributed as a makeup artist to Charli XCX Feat. Billie Eilish: Guess (2024) and Tinashe: Cross That Line (2024). Known as ‘The Glaminator,’ Morales plans to conduct international masterclasses to teach her techniques to a wider audience.

Throughout her career, Morales has engaged in advertising campaigns and collaborations with global brands including Dior, Samsung, Covergirl, Puma, Nike, Coach, and Gucci. She was the makeup department head for the short film “Gorgeous Vortex” in 2015 and worked as a makeup artist on “Rihanna – Good Girl Gone Bad: Live” in 2008. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Morales emphasizes the importance of natural products and routines in her approach to makeup artistry.
