Tyler Florence

Tyler Florence is a renowned American chef and television host, celebrated for his extensive work on the Food Network and his acclaimed restaurant ventures. After becoming executive chef at the notable New York City eatery, Cafeteria, Tyler Florence captured national attention, launching an enduring career that began with his graduation from the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University in 1991. Following his graduation, Florence refined his skills under prominent chefs at esteemed New York City establishments such as Aureole and Mad 61. His work quickly brought him to the attention of the Food Network, beginning his long-standing relationship with the channel in 1996, just three years after its launch.

Expanding his culinary empire, he established Miller & Lux, a modern American steakhouse, in San Francisco’s Chase Center in 2021, and a second location in the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort in Hawaii in 2023. Miller & Lux has garnered significant recognition, including being named the Best Steak House in the Bay Area by San Francisco magazine and receiving Best Burger in America by the MICHELIN Guide. Additionally, Florence served as Dean of Culinary Education at Copia in Napa, California, in 2008 and directed the documentary ‘Uncrushable’ in 2018, focusing on the 2017 California Wildfires. Florence continues to expand his influence across media and culinary ventures.

In 2023, he appeared on ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,’ and further showcased his expertise with the release of his most recent cookbook, ‘American Grill: 125 Recipes for Mastering Live Fire,’ in 2024. His ongoing engagement with audiences includes co-hosting the podcast ‘Two Dudes in a Kitchen’ and his confirmed appearance on Season 18 of ‘The Great Food Truck Race,’ scheduled for 2025.
