Snowboarder Kyle Mack is an American with expertise in both slopestyle and big air. He won the US Open Men’s Slopestyle championship on March 4, 2016. He took home the silver medal in the Men’s Big Air final at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
At the age of three, Mack got his first little taste of snowboarding by riding down the driveway of his family home after each snowfall. He started riding Alpine Valley frequently when he was five years old, and regardless of the weather he would perserve, eager to hone his craft. At the age of seven, Burton Snowboards took notice of him due to his dedication, which led to sponsorship. His victory in the Burton Open Junior Jam in 2010 propelled his junior career to new heights.
Mack received an invitation to join the US Snowboarding Team in 2011. In the years that followed, he participated in countless tournaments and travelled extensively. He has participated in numerous Grand Prix, Dew Tours, and Open contests all around the world. At the 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships, he finished third behind Roope Tonteri and Darcy Sharpe in both big air and slopestyle. At the Air & Style tour’s Los Angeles stop in 2016, he finished in second place. He won the Men’s Slopestyle competition at the US Open on March 4, 2016.
