Travis Lashley, best known by his stage name Trav, is a Queens, New York-based American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Trav’s debut solo mixtape, The Way I See It, was released in 2009 and got over half a million downloads. Trav was chosen as an Includes Artist on Myspace after releasing his second Mixtape “Follow Me,” which featured both tracks “Follow Me” and “Ride the Wave.” On Myspace, Trav met fellow singer Sean Kingston, and the two collaborated to promote Justin Bieber on his tour “‘My Around-the-World Trip.’
Trav’s debut album QRAK (pronounced “Crack”) was released in 2017, and it featured collaborations with Meek Mill, Belly, Lil Durk, Tory Lanez, Blac Youngsta, and Don Q. (Queens Raised A King) is the abbreviation, according to Trav “QRAK stands for Queens Raised A King, which is a double metaphor for his childhood and Queens heritage. Trav came into his own as a rapper, mogul, businessman, and cultural force of nature ten years after first breaking through in 2009. Trav released the single “Called It” with Canadian rapper Nav in 2019. It was accompanied by an official music video.
Trav later joined Nav on his Bad Habits Tour, which included 25 cities. Trav released the track “Real Nigga Party” in 2020, which serves as the lead single from his debut studio album, Nothing Happens Overnight, and features American rapper Lil Durk.
