Bennett “Ben” Rappaport is a talented American actor, known for his memorable portrayal of protagonist Todd Dempsy in NBC’s popular sitcom Outsourced which aired from 2010-11 and was set in a call center in Mumbai, India. Rappaport was able to showcase his comedic chops through his character’s “fish out of water” story arc as the lone American call center worker immersed in a completely different cultural environment. Over the course of the season his character becomes much more aware of Indian customs and develops a touching understanding and cordiality with his new co-workers overseas.
He went on to pick up recurring roles in such well-known shows as USA Network’s Mr Robot with Rami Malek, CBS’s legal drama The Good Wife, TV Land’s long-running comedy-drama series Younger as well as the critically acclaimed Netflix series Ozark alongside Patrick Bateman. Rappaport was also the main character Seth Oliver on ABC’s legal drama For the People from 2018-2019. His movie credits include Hope Springs (2012), The Brass Teapot (2012), Better Off Single (2016) and Ask for Jane (2018).
A naturally versatile and ambitious acting talent, Rappaport has also featured in popular Broadway productions such as “Fiddler On The Roof” and “Picnic”. He hopes to leverage his charismatic television appearances so far to gain even more exposure in the entertainment world, taking on more and more challenging roles.
