David Hillier

David Hillier is a distinguished former professional footballer whose career spanned from 1988 to 2003, primarily recognized for his impactful tenure at Arsenal in the Premier League. Hillier joined Arsenal as a schoolboy in 1984 and quickly ascended through the ranks, turning professional in 1988. He captained the youth team to victory in the FA Youth Cup final and made his first-team debut shortly thereafter. Hillier became a key player in Arsenal’s midfield, contributing to the team’s remarkable First Division title win in the 1990-91 season, where he showcased his exceptional marking abilities against top opponents.

In the following seasons, Hillier solidified his reputation as a tenacious and hardworking midfielder. His notable performances included a memorable league goal against Liverpool and a pivotal role in Arsenal’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Tottenham.
