Jeremy Piven is a
Golden Globe-winning actor, comedian and producer known for his central role in
the highly successful, long-running HBO series Entourage. Focusing on the
fortunes of an A-list Hollywood star, Entourage ran for eight seasons, drawing
millions of viewers and racking up numerous accolades – including several Emmy
and Golden Globe Awards for Piven’s contributions. He delighted audiences as
the acerbic Ari Gold, a fast-talking, perpetually vexed super-agent. One of the
show’s best-loved characters, the role earned Piven four consecutive Emmy
Awards for Best Supporting Actor.
Entourage wrapped
up in 2011, drawing over three million viewers for its finale, and spawning a
successful movie adaptation. Piven went on to play the titular role in ITV’s
Mr. Selfridge, a dramatization of the life of Harry Selfridge, creator of the
high-end London department store. Piven has also appeared in several successful
films, including Grosse Pointe Blank, Singles, The Family Man, Black Hawk Down,
The Kingdom, Heat, Rock N Rolla, Serendipity, Smokin’ Aces, and Runaway Jury.
He has also made cameo appearances in Rush Hour 2 and Cars. Piven has recently
turned his talents to stand-up comedy, embarking on a successful tour across
the U.S. and Canada.
