Kamil Stoch is a celebrated Polish ski jumper, renowned as one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of the sport. With a career spanning over a decade, Stoch has secured numerous prestigious titles, including two World Cup championships and three Four Hills Tournaments, two of which he won consecutively. His impressive achievements also include three individual gold medals at the Winter Olympics and both individual and team gold at the Ski Jumping World Championships, as well as an individual silver at the Ski Flying World Championships.
Among Stoch’s remarkable feats, he stands out as one of only three ski jumpers—alongside legends Sven Hannawald and Ryoyu Kobayashi—to achieve the “grand slam” by winning all four competitions in a single Four Hills Tournament. In 2018, at the age of 30, he made history by becoming the oldest individual Olympic gold medalist and World Cup champion in ski jumping, underscoring his enduring talent and competitiveness.
Stoch’s Olympic journey began in Turin in 2006, where he finished 16th on the normal hill. Over the years, he represented Poland in four Olympic Games, with his standout performance occurring in Sochi in 2014, where he triumphed in both the normal and large hill events. This made him the third athlete ever to achieve such a feat in a single Olympics, joining the ranks of ski jumping greats.
His success continued in the 2018 Winter Olympics, where he claimed a gold medal in the large hill event and contributed to Poland’s historic bronze medal in the team competition. With multiple accolades and a reputation for excellence, Kamil Stoch remains a prominent figure in ski jumping, inspiring future generations with his achievements and passion for the sport.
