Michelle Harrison is an American film and television actress best known for playing Nora Allen in the CW superhero series The Flash. Harrison also portrays the Speed Force impersonating Nora and the role of Dr. Joan Williams in the hit series, and is also well known for her work in The Invisible (2007), Good Luck Chuck (2007) and Paycheck (2003). Multi-talented Harrison is also the lead singer of Ginger 66, a country/rock band.
Born Michelle Nicole Johnston in Puyallup, Washington, Harrison moved to New York to train as an actress where she attended the Square Theatre School in New York. She made her debut in Western anthology series Dead Man’s Gun, and she then worked regularly throughout the 2000’s, her screen credits including Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show, The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, Andromeda, NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, The Capture of the Green River Killer, A Crime of Passion, Endgame, Fringe, The L Word and V.
With an impressive TV and film career already under her belt, Harrison landed the role of Nora Allen – the mother of the Flash in The CW series based on the DC Comic character The Flash – in 2014. Portraying Allen has introduced Harrison to a whole new audience and fan club, and she has now appeared in the series for the last six years.
