Rodger Bumpass is an American actor and voice actor who is known for voicing various animated characters across the Nickelodeon cartoon world and beyond. His standout voice work includes that of Squidward Tentacles in the timeless cartoon classic, Spongebob Squarepants.
He is also known for voicing The Chief on the animated series Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?, the Hyenas on The Lion King, Dr. Light on Teen Titans, and Professor Membrane on the timeless Invader Zim. Bumpass has over 693 film credits, according to IMDb and he has voiced many characters on films such as Monsters Inc, Lilo & Stitch, Incredibles 2, and Ice Age: The Meltdown. In 2012, Bumpass received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for his role as Squidward on the long-standing SpongeBob SquarePants. Though he has been voicing and acting in films since the 70s and has also appeared on stage through the late 70s until the late 80s. Away from cartoons, in 1987 he played the role, Phil Hilton, in The Running Man, working alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.
