Scott Speiser is a prominent actor, writer and producer known for his work across both stage and screen. His most notable role to date is that of Overkill on the Amazon series The Tick, a comic-book superhero series that ran for two seasons. Speiser is also a longtime member of the Blue Man Group, a world-renowned production that has been featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show and Access Hollywood and been taken to The Latin Grammys.
Born in North Carolina, Speiser graduated from Northwestern University with a theatre degree. His first televised role came in 2003 on NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, before he landed several roles throughout 2005 in Southbounders, The Mangler Reborn and Delusive Dreams. Speiser then appeared in 13 episodes of Hot Hot Los Angeles, before acting in a number of short films. He’s since been seen in Criminal Minds, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Mike & Molly, Discount Fitness, The Young and the Restless, Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods.
Speiser landed his most prominent role in 2017, appearing in all 22 episodes of Amazon’s the tick. He’s since portrayed the character of Vincent in 9-1-1 and appeared in Little Black Lie and Dreamtakers. Speiser is also known for performing as a Blue Man in the phenomenal Blue Man Group, a production which has been taken all over the world.
