Sue Perkins is an English comedian, TV personality, radio broadcaster and author, best known for her role as presenter of The Great British Bake Off and as one-half of the comedy duo Mel and Sue. Her charm and quick wit on The Great British Bake Off made her a fan favorite, with fans eager for her cheeky commentary. She came into the limelight after partnering with Mel Giedroyc, becoming the famous comedy duo Mel and Sue. Together, they took their act on the road for many years and co-hosted Channel 4’s midday show, Light Lunch, then its late afternoon version, Late Lunch. Perkins starred in series like Celebrity Big Brother and The Supersizers Go…, where she and Giles Coren spend a week replicating lifestyles of periods throughout history, establishing her as an adventurous TV personality. Not only an adored comedian and TV presenter, Perkins began conducting orchestras after winning BBC’s Maestro and conducting The Last Night of the proms in Hyde Park. She has since conducted the Dinnington Colliery Band and the BBC Concert Orchestra.
