Marisa Tomei

Marisa Tomei is an actress and Academy Award Winner, best known for her performances in My Cousin Vinny and The Wrestler. She has also appeared in a number of big Marvel films as her recurring character, May Parker.

Tomei began her career out in 1984 with a couple of small roles. She landed her first recurring role in As The World Turns several years later, appearing in a number of episodes between 1984 and 1985. She was then cast in A Different World in 1987, a spin off from the wildly popular The Cosby Show.

Success found Tomei when she was cast in My Cousin Vinny, a comedy crime film which won her an Oscar for the Best Supporting Actress. She also won MTV’s award for a Breakthrough Performance. Since then Tomei has continued to shine, appearing in huge films such as The Wrestler, Crazy Stupid Love and The Big Short. She has also become a vital part of the Marvel Universe, putting her into some of the biggest films of the century.
