Maryland born 23-year-old rapper Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly – better known as Rico Nasty – has powered through the rap world unapologetically since her early beginnings in 2014. Displaying her talents in genres ranging from trap to metal, Rico Nasty’s unique and self-created style is electric. Between 2014 and 2017 the young rapper self-released five mixtapes and gained a strong underground following with popular singles such as “iCarley” and “Hey Arnold”. The former of which amassed 500 thousand views in just a few weeks in 2016, when she began her dramatic rise to prominence. Her 2017 single “Poppin” saw her break 5 million views, quickly followed by “Smack a Bitch” which now holds 38 million views. Rico Nasty’s most recent venture is her first studio album, Nightmare Vacation, which was released on December the 4th 2020.
