Boris Cherniak is a Soviet-born comedy hypnotist and motivational speaker and author who lives in Canada. Cherniak performs internationally to wide audiences with his psychological illusionist and hypnotist performances. Cherniak is recognised by many by the stage name ‘Hypnotist The Incredible Boris’ or ‘The Amazing Boris’. Born in Moscow, Cherniak grew up near the Moscow Circus where he was inspired to pursue hypnosis.
After moving to Canada as a child and pursuing a degree at the University of Toronto. Cherniak travelled to Kuwait in 2011 to perform to the troops in Afghanistan, as part of Operation H.O.T and again in 2013. Cherniak began speaking soon after, and in 2014 he joined the elite team of TED, amongst other inspiring speakers with ‘I can do anything’ Ted talk TEDxYouth event. 2017 saw Cherniak deliver his second Ted talk at TEDx Chatham-Kent.
Cherniak is famously credited as the inventor of the saying ‘google me’, since it featured in a 2004 press release. He also used this term on stage in front of his audiences and was later hired by Google for their corporate event. In 2018, Cherniak was named No 23 on the World’s Top 30 Motivational Speakers by Global Gurus.
