Elodie Yung

Elodie Yung is a French actress and Social Media influencer with 410 followers on Instagram. She was born in Paris, France in 1981. Her father is Cambodian and her mother is French. She spent her childhood in Seine-saint Denis in Le Bourget and took karate lessons and achieved a black belt in her teens. She graduated in law from the University of La Sorbonne in Paris and later went on to study acting at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London.

Yung’s early roles as an actress were on TV. She was for example in La Vie Devant Nous as Jade Perrin and in 2004 she made a film debut as the character Tsu in Les Fils du Vent. She was the gang lord Tao in District 13 Ultimatum and she was in the TV police series Les Bleus as Laura Maurier from 2006-2010. She had the role of Miriam Wu in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the screen adaptation of the popular novel. In 2013 she was in GI Joe: Retaliation. She starred as goddess Hathor in the film Gods of Egypt.

She is best recognised in America for her role as Elektra in the Netflix series ‘Daredevil’. In 2020 she had the role of Catherine in the Disney+ film Secret Society of Second-Born Royals and she is also in the Fox drama series ‘The Cleaning Lady’. In 2018 Yung gave birth to a daughter with actor Jonathan Howard.
