Iwan Rheon

Iwan Rheon is a Welsh actor and musician, recognized for his performances across television, film, and theatre, as well as his musical endeavors. After winning the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical in 2010 for his role as Moritz Stiefel in the London production of Spring Awakening (2008), Iwan Rheon established himself as a versatile Welsh actor and musician. Trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Rheon’s early career also saw him originate the role of Macsen White in the Welsh-language soap opera Pobol Y Cwm in the early 2000s, followed by stage work including Eight Miles High at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool in 2008. Rheon gained significant recognition on television, starring as Simon Bellamy in the E4 series Misfits from 2009 to 2011, a BAFTA-winning program where his character developed powers of invisibility and precognition.

Most recently, Rheon starred in the romcom A Christmas Number One in 2021 and is set to appear in the highly anticipated series Those About to Die in 2024. He continues to balance his diverse career as a musician, with his second album, I Just Wish I’d Never Gone To Space, slated for a 2025 release, further solidifying his unique position as a dual threat in the entertainment industry.
