Five-time X Games gold medalist Letícia Bufoni is far more than just a world-class skateboarder, she is a trailblazer breaking down barriers for women all around the world. Born in São Paulo Brazil, Bufoni began skating at the young age of nine and has since exceeded all expectations as a professional skateboarder. As trailblazer’s do, Bufoni made history when she became the first woman to sign with Nike SB, and again when she became the first woman ever to grace the cover of The Skateboard Mag. Due to her rise in stardom, Bufoni got the opportunity to star in her own reality TV show in Brazil, and has become a spokesperson for female skaters throughout the world.
Soon after she began her skateboarding career, she earned 1st place at the 2009 Maloof Money Cup. Since then Bufoni has continued to solidify her place as an elite skateboarder one achievement at a time. In 2013 Bufoni made her mark by winning three X Games gold medals. In 2015 she won 1st place in the Street League Super Crown Women’s Finals, and in 2016 she earned 1st place in the Far’n High Women’s Finals in Paris. Soon after Bufoni once again went on to claim a gold medal in the 2018 X Games Street in Norway, and more recently won another gold medal at X Games Street in Shanghai. As a result of the incredible heights she has been able to accomplish as a professional skateboarder, Bufoni once again made history in 2019 by being selected to be a member of Brazil’s first ever national skateboarding team.
