Melora Hardin

Melora Hardin, an acclaimed American actress, singer, and director, first gained recognition starring in the television series ‘Thunder’ (1977–1978). Her early career included numerous television appearances such as ‘The Love Boat’ (1978), ‘Quincy, M.E.’ (1979, 1982), and ‘Little House on the Prairie’ (1981). Hardin further appeared in the 1983 television movie ‘Little House: Look Back to Yesterday’ and the 1986 film ‘Soul Man.’ Throughout the 1990s, she maintained a steady presence in both television and film, co-starring in the 1990 dance movie ‘Lambada’ and featuring in ‘Quantum Leap’ (1992). A notable turn was her role as Ross Geller’s love interest, Celia, in ‘Friends’ (1995), followed by a role in ‘Absolute Power’ (1997).

In 2008, Hardin made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in ‘Chicago: The Musical’ and further expanded her artistic repertoire by directing the film ‘You’ in 2009. From 2014 to 2019, Hardin played Tammy Cashman in Amazon Prime Video’s critically acclaimed series ‘Transparent,’ a role that earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. She also featured in the film ‘Self/less’ (2015) and took on the role of Isabella Stone in ‘The Blacklist’ (2017). Hardin held a main role as Jacqueline Carlyle in the popular series ‘The Bold Type’ (2017–2021) and appeared as Patricia Bloom in ‘A Million Little Things’ (2019–2022).

In 2021, she captivated audiences competing on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ finishing in an impressive sixth place. Most recently, Hardin reprised her role in ‘Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie’ (2023) and starred in the thriller ‘Clock’ (2023). She also featured in ‘Love, Classified’ (2022).

In 2024, Hardin originated the role of Francine Blake in the Broadway play ‘McNeal,’ continuing to demonstrate her versatility across stage and screen. Her extensive and varied career highlights her enduring appeal and consistent demand in the entertainment industry.
