Known for his talkative mastery, Roe Conn is incredibly well known by any talk show listeners in Chicago, hosting the Chicago-bound famous Roe Conn show. Slowly making his way through the radio scene from a small overnight show to primetime WGN, Conn knows how to talk around almost any subject – bringing passion and knowledge to the popular airwaves of Chicago. Whether in your car, home or at work, the tones of Conn are guaranteed to peak the interest of any avid talk radio fan.
Conn started his career under the pseudonym Robert Thomas under the impression that somehow Roe Conn was not a name fit for a radio presenter – so Robert Thomas took on the overnight WDUB in Granville, Ohio whilst at college. Upon Conn’s return to Chicago he worked for WLUW before producing for Don Vogel on WMAQ and Walter Jacobson over at WBBM-TV. Conn’s big break came after his daily roundup of the O.J Simpson trial on WLS- gaining him the wider recognition that he needed for the start of a successful career. Conn then teamed up with equally prestigious presenter Garry Meier to form the famous Roe & Garry show. It was clear that Conn was starting to peak his head out of the parapet, and continuing to impress after Garry left the show, the slot soon became The Roe Conn show which was rated Chicago’s most listened-to radio talk show. Conn continued to present for a variety of different radio stations including WLS-TV WLS-AM and WGN – regardless of radio, Conn brings quality presenting each and every time.
