Heavyweight mixed martial artist Todd Duffee competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and has been a professional fighter for more than 10 years.
Growing up, Duffee was a talented athlete in several sports including boxing and baseball, earning himself a scholarship to play football at college. However, his promising football career was cut short due to injury, so he turned his attention back to boxing. Soon after he took up mixed martial arts, putting in some great performances during his early amateur career. He fought in several bouts for the Brazilian promotion Jungle Fights before joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2009. In his debut bout with the promotion he set the record for the fastest knockout in heavyweight UFC history, marking himself out as one of the most impressive fighters of his generation. The following year Duffee moved to the Japanese promotion DREAM, taking on veteran heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem in a highly anticipated match. In 2012 this highly sought after fighter moved again, this time to the Super Fight League in India before making a return to the UFC. Unfortunately, Duffee was then forced to take a four year hiatus from the sport due to injury and illness.
With recent reports of this well loved mixed martial artist returning to training after making a full recovery, fans are looking forward to seeing Duffee fight again and he is set to make a triumphant return to the ring.
