A young and hugely talented artist, Nicole Jackson already has a great profile in this country and exceptional confidence when performing in the live arena.
Bristol born Nicole Jackson first shot to fame after appearing on ITV’s X Factor, and has now progressed to become a touring singer and Top 20 producer. The 22 year old daughter to an aspiring reggae star, first become infected with the music bug thanks to her father. By the tender age of 16 she was already regularly supporting established reggae artists such as Berris Hammond, Buju Banton and Gregory Isaacs as well as learning how to sing and record on her own.
In 2009 X Factor came along and Nicole excelled in the early stages, eventually getting through to the judge’s houses as one of 6 people from an initial 250,000 who auditioned. She was even predicted to win live on ITV1 ‘Judges Predictions’ but it wasn’t to be at such a young age. It only served to encourage Nicole to work harder, and she soon hooked up with members of Massive Attack/Smyth and Mighty, Redlight, Joker, Ben Westbeech, Donaeo and Sam Frank to write and record. The biggest result from these sessions was her hit with Redlight, ‘Get Out of My Head’ on MTA Records that went on to hit number 18 in the UK charts. It lead to gigs with Redlight on the Tinie Tempah tour alongside Mz Bratt and Roses Gabor and much more exposure for Nicole.
