Poupon has come into a distinguished sound of his own by looking forwards to techno, backwards to classic R&B & House, sideways to tribal and down to deep house. His mantra is to remain versatile and fresh, while staying true the dancefloor. His debut EP ‘Full Time Lovin’ on petFood music (2011) received impressive reviews and found itself on the top 100 Deep House downloads on Beatport. His two collaborative EP’s with Montreal House royalty Prince Club made waves in the House music community. ‘Platinum’ as well as ‘The Block’ & ‘Technique’ received love from fans and regular play from the likes of Brodinski, Homework, Gina Turner and others, as well as landing on the Beatport House Top 50 & Deep House Top 100.
His recent solo EP ‘Southside’ out on Ramon Tapia & Hermanez’s imprint, Aella Music, has already marked its place as certified tech-house weapon, receiving play from Swedish Techno tastemaker Adam Beyer at the Drumcode Studio Session party in Amsterdam, NL during ADE 2012.
Poupon strives to keep his sets fresh, always hunting for and creating new music. He knows how to evolve a groove, and keep a crowd moving far past the lights coming on.
