Danyell “Fathom DJ” Abston
The thoughtful and creative Danyell Abston is the real name of the incredibly talented Fathom DJ, who skilfully marries boundless genres that defy race, space and time with her sound curations. Not only is she a whiz on the decks, but she is an accomplished multimedia artist and entrepreneur, too. She is currently Music Director and resident DeeJay for Parlor Den in Atlanta, and Dj and Music Producer at Hartmann Studios, Atlanta.
Born and raised in Chicago, Abston was always interested in producing music and DeeJaying. She attended Columbia College Chicago to study Interactive Multimedia Design, and created her music persona FathomDj in 2000. Since then she has forged an illustrious career as a resident Dj across Chicago and Atlanta, as well being a creative director, a music director, promoter, music stylist, and a music producer. She produces original music, as well as curates virtual and actual events for venues.
Abston regularly connects with her legions of followers and fans through Facebook, twitchtv, Twitter, and Instagram, posting pictures and videos about her musically creative life. She also has a dedicated YouTube channel, fathom dj, and an official website, findingfathomdj.com.
