Metamorphic master Boris Dlugosch is a vibrant producer within the house music scene. Integral to the genre’s evolution, Dlugosch has been transforming the music scene since his breakout in the late 80s / early 90s. With a series of club smashers to his name, Dlugosch has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Mary J Blige, Daft Punk, Jamiroquai or Röyksopp. Recognised by his chunky basslines, energising percussion and catchy melodies, Dlugosch has become one of House Music’s most recognisable names.
Groundbreaking tunes such as Keep Pushin’, L.O.V.E. and „Traveller“ out on Gerd Janson’s Running Back imprint were game-changing tracks for the genre and Dlugosch. He soon became known for his superior musicality and command of the dancefloor. Building on his success, Dlugosch famously remixed Moloko’s Sing It Back. The powerful tune became the official radio version, which scaled the U.K. Singles Chart to the number 4 spot. Creating his label in 2013, Golden City Sounds, Dlugosch continues to shape the genre from his firmly rooted foundations.
Ever-changing and growing, Dlugosch found a passion for a more electronic sound releasing the iconic Bangkok on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label and remixing Boys Noize on his imprint. Always moving with the times, Dlugosch’s progression has seen an incredible evolution. He finds a way to bring an eclectic mix of garage classics, electro, upfront house and acid to greet house music’s past, present and future with open arms. Dlugosch is certainly a force to be reckoned with.
