Tom Stræte Lagergren, known professionally as DJ Matoma, is a celebrated Norwegian DJ and record producer renowned for his vibrant contributions to the tropical house genre. He later pursued a degree in Music Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, further honing his skills in music production.

Matoma gained significant recognition in 2014 with his remix of Marlon Roudette’s “When the Beat Drops Out,” which marked his entry into the international music scene. His remix of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Old Thing Back” became a massive hit, peaking at number two on Norway’s VG-lista and charting in several other countries. In 2016, Matoma released his debut album, “Hakuna Matoma,” featuring collaborations with artists like Dua Lipa and Jason Derulo.
